ADAPTIVE WAY TO REDUCE THE PHASE NOISE IN A WIDEBAND PPLL SYSTEM OF A SYNTHESIZER WITH FRACTIONAL FREQUENCY SCALING

A methodology of defining transient process duration while adaptively compensating the noise graininess generated by sigma-delta modulators in frequency demultiplies with variable dividing coefficient of pulse phase-locked loop (FS-PPLL) system is offered. The noise grainines adaptive compensation is realized by means of a special additional device connected to the low-pass filter input in the PPLL system.

Mathematical model for determining time-probabilistic features of a navigation signal search subsystem under Gauss interference condition is offered. Modeling results as referred to GLONASS satellite radio navigation system ST signal searching subsystem are shown.

A technique for solving problems on infotelecommunication system automated synthesis from the set of alternative interchangeable components differed by their characteristics is considered. The technique is built up on the basis of alternative versions generation by using morphological method and best efficient solution selection by means of the modified hierarchies analysis method.

BROADBAND BUTLER MATRIX BASED SLOT-COUPLED DIRECTIONAL COUPLERS

New topology of multi-layer directional coupler with aperture coupling is proposed in this paper. The geometry of proposed directional coupler is optimized through genetic algorithm in order to achieve satisfactory performance in octave frequency band 4–8 GHz. Butler matrix is developed for multi-beam antenna array basing on proposed coupler topology.

DUAL-POLARIZED PATCH ANTENNA WITH EXCELLENT PORT ISOLATION FOR MIMO TELECOMMUNICATIONS

A new design of a single-layer dual-polarized dual-fed patch antenna is proposed and numerically studied. Good front-to-back ratios, gain characteristics (over 8 dBi) and low isolation level (below –25 dB) are observed over 2.5–2.7 GHz frequency band.

ADAPTIVE POWER CONTROL IN SELF-ORGANIZING NETWORKS WITH HIGH POWER TRANSMITTERS

Methods for realizing standard polling procedure over the IEEE 802.11 communication systems are discussed. Centralized service algorithms and coordinated planning methods are given. Laboratory and field test results for device with hard-wired polling algorithm are given and compared with standard Wi-Fi devices.

IONOSPHERIC MODEL FOR CALCULATION OF WAVE ABSORPTION IN SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS

A simplified mathematical model of the ionosphere is developed as a product of the integrated electron density of layer F on the increased value of the effective frequency of electrons collision in this layer allowing to obtain a sufficiently simple and accurate formula for calculating the transmission loss due to absorption of waves in the ionosphere in the lines of satellite communications.

PROVIDING TRANSPARENT INTERACTION OF A HETEROGENEOUS NETWORK NODES VIA THE WIRELESS SEGMENT

Problems of transparent nodes interaction in different wired segments of a heterogeneous network through the wireless segment are discussed. Descriptions of a mechanism that provides MAC-frames passing through a heterogeneous network and that can perform self-tuning on network configuration changing is given. An example of the proposed mechanism implementation is given.
