The RF Ministry of Defense delivered into EW subdivisions of airborne troops 4 “Infauna” complexes of radio reconnaissance and radio jamming designed and produced in JSC “Concern “Sozvezdie”. In military experts’ opinion, the newest complexes which do not have analogs in the world will considerably increase protection of Russian paratroopers and auto armoured equipment from radio-controlled explosive devices (RCED), will provide radio jamming from enemy communication means. «Distinctive “Infauna” features are modern solutions concerning wideband high-speed radio reconnaissance and methods providing increased protection radius from radio-controlled explosive devices, - says Deputy General Director of JSC “Concern “Sozvezdie” M.L. Artemov, the chief designer of EW equipment. – Apart from the equipment main characteristics improvement, the complex has got additional capabilities. It provides objects’ covering with aerosol curtains and radio communication jamming of subversive groups. For the first time in the world’s practice of similar equipment development the tasks of integration into one complex of all the most effective innovations about objects’ protection by electronic warfare methods are successfully carried out».

Concern specialists note that location of the complex on modern transport base K1Sh1 permits using it in military operations of different levels and local conflicts.
